A SYSTEM FOR CUSTOMER LOYALTY? DEVELOPED AND DEPLOYED.

 

SITUATION

A major electronics retailer, known as the low-price alternative, needed to shift from price competition to customer loyalty. We had to start from scratch because the company had minimal information about patrons who were purchasing goods at hundreds of store locations from which to build customer loyalty. 

THE SYNAPTIC SHIFT

Capto helped the retailer develop and implement a customer loyalty system at cash registers and customer service desks that linked to a central database. Using this new “big data” system, our client launched a gift registry, customer wish list, and other loyalty programs.

 RESULT

  • The system enabled customer service functions that improved customer retention
  • Capto worked closely with the retailer’s IT staff to hand off maintenance and support responsibilities as soon as the new system came online
